(Chattanooga, TN) December 3, 2024– Miller-Motte College (MMC) Chattanooga is proud to announce the upcoming launch of its Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Basic Refrigeration (HVAC/BR) diploma program, set to begin in January 2025. The Chattanooga campus is part of Ancora Education, a leading workforce solutions provider addressing America’s labor gaps through innovative and technology-driven educational programs. The HVAC/BR program, which is already available at multiple campuses across the Ancora Education network is designed to prepare students for successful careers in the rapidly growing HVAC industry by combining classroom education with hands-on, on-the-job training. Enrollment for the HVAC/BR program will be on a rolling basis every five weeks, with the option to complete the program in as little as 10 months. Upon completion, graduates will be prepared to sit for the EPA Section 608 Technician Certification, a vital credential for HVAC professionals.
Miller-Motte College Chattanooga’s Executive Director, Dr. Kimberly Miller, has been eager to launch the new HVAC/BR program. “Bringing this program to Miller-Motte’s Chattanooga campus shows how much we are willing to help our students excel in the trade industry,” Dr. Miller said. “We believe there will be a lot of interest from new and former students specifically for this diploma, and we look forward to setting them up for success in the HVAC industry.” Miller-Motte’s HVAC/BR program gives students the essential skills to work with various HVAC systems and refrigeration equipment. The curriculum includes theoretical knowledge and practical application, ensuring students are ready to tackle real-world challenges upon graduation.
The program covers:
● Air Conditioning Systems
● Electrical Systems for HVAC
● Heating Systems & Heat Pumps
● Refrigeration Systems
● Customer Service & Business Communications
