Ancora Education® and Miller-Motte® College Launch Construction & Trades Management Program in Jacksonville, NC

JACKSONVILLE, NC (February 24, 2025) — Ancora Education has announced the launch of its Construction and Trades Management Associate of Applied Science degree program at Miller-Motte College (MMC) in Jacksonville, North Carolina. Enrollment is currently open, and the new program will launch on March 17, 2025.

The Construction Trades & Management degree is offered as a stackable program, paired with a skilled trades program completion, and students can choose a certain track – HVAC/BR, Combination Welding, Plumbing, or Electrical. To register, students must have completed either the Plumbing or Electrical program at MMC Jacksonville, or any one of the four skilled trades programs at an Ancora Education network school campus. Ancora also operates MMC Fayetteville and MMC Raleigh in North Carolina, as well as trade schools in Arizona, Georgia, Tennessee, Texas, Oklahoma and Pennsylvania.

“This new Construction & Trades Management program is a great addition to our already successful Plumbing and Electrical trades programs. We’ve observed that many students who begin working in the trades express interest in returning to school to advance their education,” said Amber Borrego, Executive Director of MMC Jacksonville.

Students who complete MMC’s Construction & Trades Management program will receive an Associates of Applied Science. Students who complete the program, which can be done in 70 weeks, have the opportunity to earn additional project management NCCER recognized badges for completion. The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) education foundation that creates a standardized training and credentialing program for the construction industry. MMC students will complete NCCER knowledge-based exams and hands-on competencies to earn verifiable industry-recognized credentials that do not expire.

Students in the Construction & Trades Management program will focus on growing project management skills, and learning to plan and direct building and maintenance in the construction industry. Prospective enrollees can visit the Construction & Trades Management page to learn more about the program and to enroll.
