Miller-Motte College Columbus, Georgia Campus Adding CDL Training

Columbus, GA – (November 13, 2024) — Ancora Education, a leading workforce solutions provider, has announced their Commercial Driver’s License (CDL): Class A Tractor Trailer program will now be offered at the Miller-Motte College campus in Columbus, Georgia.

Across its network schools, including Miller-Motte College, and the Ancora Training division, Ancora has become known as a leader in CDL training. Miller-Motte College’s four week program provides an opportunity for local residents to start or change careers by obtaining training to inspect and, after obtaining a CDL, operate tractor trailers, and to assume driver responsibilities on the road and at pickup/delivery points. All training and instruction at Miller-Motte College Columbus is done at school facilities and in school-provided equipment. Upon passing their state licensing exam, graduates can fill one of the many open positions within the transportation industry (a reported 60,000 in the U.S. according to the Commercial Carrier Journal in January 2024) and help bolster the supply chain.

“Our CDL program is an affordable, short-term program which prepares students for the licensing exam*,” says Dr. Abel Okagbare, Executive Director at Miller-Motte College in Columbus. “At Miller-Motte, we support our students from the moment they walk in the door – from education funding solutions to license testing preparation, and after graduation with career services and employment assistance.”

Ancora operates over 100 CDL programs at locations across the United States including Miller-Motte College, South Texas Vocational Technical Institute, Arizona

Automotive Institute, and Berks Technical Institute, as well as through partnerships with community colleges and corporate partners.

“One of our goals is for the Ancora brand to become synonymous with CDL education,” says Jeff Burkhardt, Senior Director of CDL Operations at Ancora. “By expanding the reach of our CDL training, we’re helping fill the need for drivers to keep America moving.”

The CDL program will begin on December 9, 2024 at Miller-Motte College in Columbus. Enrollment is now open. For more information, visit www.miller-motte.edu.
